@2:26am I’m in journalism to be the best, not to be forever aspiring, or average. I’ve been those, longer than I can bear. I realized in my failed second week that I don’t read enough. So I’m going to start reading Lester Bangs this week Ellen Willis to help me figure out what my articles are missing. Don’t think I’m going to copy them and then run with their style. That could happen in the beginning, but my intention is to figure out what made their works lasting that people still read it and say, “That’s some good stuff.”

Success doesn’t come easy, and I’m ready and willing to deal with the struggles.
